| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing left, draped on the left shoulder, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and laurel wreath. The effigy displays the characteristic strong features of Trajan's portraiture, including a prominent brow and squared jaw. The encircling Latin legend runs continuously around the outer border of the field, naming the emperor's full imperial titulature. The coin exhibits a dark olive-brown patina consistent with a bronze sestertius of the Trajanic period. The die work reflects the accomplished engraving style of the Rome mint during the height of Trajan's reign. |
