| Popis rubu | The goddess Roma, helmeted and clad in full military dress, is depicted seated left upon a cuirass. In her extended right hand she holds a small figure of Victory, while her left hand grasps a vertical spear. Her left foot rests upon the head of a defeated Dacian captive and her right foot upon a helmet, symbolising Roman triumph over Dacia. Three shields are arranged beside the cuirass in the field. The composition is a hallmark of Trajanic sestertii celebrating the Dacian campaigns, with the senatorial authorisation S C prominently placed in the legend. |
