She extends an olive branch downward and outward in her raised right hand, while her left hand holds a cornucopiae, symbol of abundance. Her right foot treads upon a prostrate Dacian enemy, whose head and shoulders are visible emerging from the lower field, a deliberate allusion to Rome's recent victories in the Dacian Wars. The reverse legend and senatorial authority mark S C appear in the field. |
