Reverse description The personification of Pax (Peace) stands in full figure facing left, draped in flowing robes rendered with fine drapery folds characteristic of Trajanic relief work. She extends an olive branch downward and outward in her raised right hand, while her left hand holds a cornucopiae, symbol of abundance. Her right foot treads upon a prostrate Dacian enemy, whose head and shoulders are visible emerging from the lower field, a deliberate allusion to Rome's recent victories in the Dacian Wars. The reverse legend and senatorial authority mark S C appear in the field.
