Beschrijving voorzijde Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, draped and cuirassed, with the imperial portrait rendered in the high-relief Trajanic style characteristic of the Rome Mint. The effigy displays Trajan's distinctive features including a strong jaw and close-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath. A beaded border runs along the coin's inner rim. The obverse legend encircles the bust, partially legible on this example due to wear, recording the emperor's full titulature.

Beschrijving keerzijde A river god personifying the Aqua Traiana reclines to the left within an arched grotto or cave, rendered in a semi-reclining pose typical of Roman river deity iconography. The figure leans on a rock or urn from which water flows, with reeds or vegetation rising behind him, evoking the natural spring source of the aqueduct. The scene is set against a curved architectural arch representing the aqueduct structure itself. The legend AQVA TRAIANA appears in the lower field or exergue, while S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI and S C frame the design, commemorating Trajan's construction of the aqueduct completed around AD 109.
