正面铭文 IMP CAES NER TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P
(Translation: Imperator, Caesar, Nervae Traiano Optimo, Augustus, Germanicus, Dacicus, Pontifex Maximus, Tribunicia Potestate, Consul Sextum, Pater Patriae. Supreme commander (Imperator), Caesar, Nerva Trajan, the best emperor (Augustus), conqueror of the Germans, conqueror of the Dacians, high priest, holder of tribunician power, consul for the sixth time, father of the nation.)
背面描述 The reverse presents a complex allegorical composition celebrating Rome's eastern conquests. A standing female figure, representing Armenia, occupies the center, depicted in oriental dress with a tiara or Armenian headdress, her posture conveying submission to Roman authority. To her left reclines a male river god representing the Tigris, and to her right reclines a second male river god representing the Euphrates, both rendered in the conventional reclining pose with water vessels or reeds as attributes. The senatorial mark of value S C (Senatus Consulto) is prominently placed in the field to either side of the central figure. The encircling legend commemorates Trajan's historic annexation of Armenia and Mesopotamia as Roman provinces.
