| Beschrijving keerzijde | The goddess Salus, personification of health and well-being, is depicted seated to the left on an ornate throne or chair with visible legs and back, rendered in a dignified, frontal pose. She holds a patera in her extended right hand and grasps a long vertical sceptre in her left. The goddess is draped in flowing robes whose folds are rendered with careful attention to drapery. The large senatorial control marks S and C (Senatus Consulto) appear prominently in the lower field on either side of the throne, while the legend SALVS AVGVSTA is distributed around the periphery. |
