Reverse description Mars, nude and helmeted, strides vigorously to the right in a dynamic martial pose, holding an upright spear in his right hand and a trophy over his left shoulder. The figure is rendered in a classical style with musculature carefully delineated, the cloak billowing behind. The senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is placed prominently in the field, divided to either side of the central figure. The reverse is enclosed within a finely executed beaded border.
