| Opis rewersu | The personification of Pax (Peace) stands in full figure facing left, draped in a long flowing chiton and himation, rendered in the classical Hellenistic tradition. In her extended right hand she holds an olive branch downward toward the ground, and in her raised left hand she holds a cornucopiae. The large senatorial control marks S and C (Senatus Consulto) flank the figure to left and right respectively in the mid-field, and the reverse legend PAX AVGVST appears in the upper field. The reverse is bordered by a partial beaded inner circle on the right side. |
