附加信息	This sestertius was struck in the name of Domitian but issued under Titus — a politically loaded arrangement reflecting the fraught brotherly dynamic within the Flavian dynasty. Titus died in September 81 AD after a reign of just over two years, and the earliest coins of Domitian's reign include posthumous and transitional issues honoring his predecessor with calculated piety. Whether that piety was genuine is debated; ancient sources, including Suetonius, accused Domitian of having shown indifference to his brother's final illness. RIC II.1 127 places this issue firmly in the opening months of Domitian's reign.
