Obverse description Laureate head of Titus facing right, with naturalistic portrait rendering typical of Flavian dynastic coinage. The emperor's bust is draped and cuirassed, presented in the imperial tradition of his father Vespasian. The encircling Latin legend runs around the periphery of the flan, partially visible along the upper and lower rim. The portrait exhibits fine relief work characteristic of the Rome Mint's accomplished die engravers under the Flavian emperors. The overall strike is moderately well-centered on an irregular orichalcum flan showing typical green patination.
