(Translation: Imperator Titus Caesar Vespasianus Augustus, Pontifex Maximus, Tribunicia Potestate, Pater Patriae, Consul Octavum. Supreme commander (Imperator) Titus Caesar Vespasian, emperor (Augustus), high priest, holder of tribunician power, father of the nation, consul for the eighth time.)
Reverse description Annona, the divine personification of the grain supply, standing left, holding in her right hand a statuette of Aequitas (the personification of equity and fair measure) and in her left a cornucopiae. In the lower left field, a modius filled with corn-ears is depicted, while a ship's prow appears to the right, alluding to the maritime grain trade upon which Rome depended. The reverse legend ANNONA AVG is disposed across the field, and the composition reflects the Flavian dynasty's emphasis on civic virtue and the provisioning of the Roman populace.
