| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two togate figures, identified as Titus and Domitian, stand facing one another and clasping right hands in a dextrarum iunctio gesture symbolising dynastic concord, each holding a long sceptre in the outer hand. Between them stands the personification of Concordia, the goddess of harmony, emphasising the unity of the Flavian imperial house. The legend PIETAS AVGVST is distributed in the field, while the large senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) flanks the central group in the lower field. The composition conveys a clear dynastic and religious message associating the Flavian emperors with pietas and familial concord. |
