Reverse description The reverse displays the large senatorial authority monogram S C (Senatus Consulto — by decree of the Senate) in bold relief dominating the central field, with the two letters flanking one another in generous proportions characteristic of Tiberian aes coinage. The surrounding circular legend is disposed along the outer rim, separated from the central motif by a plain inner border. The bold, simple composition follows the established Augustan-Tiberian sestertius type for commemorative aes issues.
