Obverse description Radiate and draped bust of Emperor Postumus facing right, sometimes depicted additionally cuirassed. The effigy displays the characteristic radiate crown associated with the antoninianus denomination. The obverse legend encircles the bust, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The portrait style reflects the vigorous, individualized rendering typical of Gallic Empire coinage produced at the Lugdunum mint.

Reverse description A galley depicted in profile, oriented left or right, with four or five rowers visible at the oars; the vessel is sometimes shown with a mast and sail. The design celebrates the maritime and commercial vitality associated with the Laetitia type. The reverse legend appears in the field or exergue, occasionally accompanied by the senatorial authorization mark SC. The bold, somewhat provincial execution of the ship motif is characteristic of Lugdunum workshop production under Postumus.
