Obverse lettering IMP NERVA CAES AVG GERM P M TR P II
(Translation: Supreme commander Nerva, Caesar, emperor, conqueror of the Germans, high priest, holder of tribunician power for the second time.)
Reverse description The goddess Pax seated left on a throne or chair, draped in flowing robes, extending an olive branch in her right hand toward the left field, and holding a sceptre vertically in her left hand. The personification of Peace is rendered in a composed, classical manner consistent with Nervan reverse iconography. The large senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consulto) appears prominently in the lower exergual field, flanking the throne base. The surrounding legend IMP II COS IIII P P is distributed around the periphery, with a beaded border framing the design.
