| 正面描述 | Laureate bust of Emperor Nero facing right, draped at the shoulder, rendered in the florid portraiture style characteristic of his later reign. The effigy displays the emperor's distinctive broad facial features with curling hair arranged in multiple rows across the forehead. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P MAX TR POT P P, disposed around the periphery within a beaded border. The flan shows the typical irregular, hand-struck fabric of mid-first-century Imperial bronze coinage. |

Nero's sestertius issues from this period coincide with the aftermath of the Pisonian conspiracy of 65 AD, when the emperor's increasingly erratic fiscal policies began straining the Roman treasury. He debased the aureus and denarius but left the orichalcum sestertius largely untouched in weight standard — one reason well-preserved bronze from this reign survives with more monetary integrity than his silver.
RIC I 575 is among the later emissions of his reign, struck at Rome when senatorial relations had collapsed beyond repair. The S C notation was by this point largely ceremonial.
