| Obverse description | Bare-necked laureate bust of Nero facing right, rendered in high relief with characteristically full features and elaborately curled hair; a small globe is visible at the base of the neck truncation, symbolizing imperial dominion over the world. The portrait displays the distinctive fleshy physiognomy associated with later Neronian coinage. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan.
