| Obverse description | Bare-necked, laureate bust of Nero facing left, rendered with characteristic fleshy features and elaborately curled hair arranged in tiered waves across the crown and nape. The effigy is depicted with a draped shoulder, presented in high relief with confident die-cutting typical of early Neronian coinage. A circular legend in Latin capitals runs along the periphery of the field, bordered by a dotted inner circle. The portrait conveys the idealized yet individualized likeness common to imperial Roman sestertii of this period. |
