| Reverse description | A triumphal arch rendered in frontal elevation dominates the reverse field, depicted with three bays separated by engaged columns decorated with sculptural reliefs, the piers flanked by standing figures identifiable as Mars and Pax (or Victory). The attic of the arch is surmounted by a quadriga accompanied by additional standing figures, evoking a monumental commemorative structure. Within the central archway a large circular shield or wreath motif is visible. The senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is prominently displayed in the left and right fields, flanking the arch. A beaded border encircles the entire design. |
