| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Nero facing left, rendered with characteristic portraiture of the Neronian period including the full, rounded facial features and layered, curling hair. The effigy is depicted with a bare neck and neck roll typical of later Neronian coinage. The encircling Latin legend runs along the periphery of the flan in well-spaced capital letters. The portrait exhibits the high-relief hammered style characteristic of Julio-Claudian imperial bronzes struck at Rome. |

| Reverse description | Dynamic equestrian scene depicting Nero, bare-headed and cuirassed with military cloak (paludamentum) billowing behind him, mounted on a prancing horse advancing to the right and holding a spear. Flanking the emperor are two mounted soldiers riding in the opposite direction, each bearing a vexillum (military standard) over the shoulder, evoking the ceremonial military exercise known as the decursio. The reverse legend DECVRSIO appears in the field with the senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consultum) prominently displayed, affirming the coin's official bronze issue. |
