| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Nero facing right, with an aegis visible at the neck, rendered in high relief with characteristic fleshy features and curly hair. The imperial effigy fills the broad flan, conveying the emperor's authority and divine association through the aegis detail. A bold circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, naming the emperor with his full titulature. The portrait style is consistent with the mature Neronian coinage of the Roman mint, displaying strong die-cutting characteristic of the Julio-Claudian tradition. |
