The emperor's hair is depicted in tight, layered curls arranged across the forehead, with the laurel wreath sitting prominently above. The bust is broad and well-modelled, displaying fine high-relief workmanship typical of the Rome mint sestertii of this period. A raised border of dots frames the effigy, with the encircling legend running from lower left to upper right around the periphery of the obverse field. |
