| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Nero facing left, with characteristic youthful features including curly hair rendered in tight ringlets and a short beard. The emperor's portrait is executed in high relief in the Julio-Claudian artistic tradition, with naturalistic modelling of the face and neck.
