| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare-headed, laureate bust of Nero facing left, rendered with characteristic fleshy features and a short beard, the hair arranged in tight curls across the brow and temples in the Julio-Claudian idiom. A small globe appears at the truncation of the neck, a symbol of universal dominion. The effigy is boldly modeled in high relief with a draped shoulder visible at the truncation. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise within a beaded border, occupying the full periphery of the field. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A richly composed allegorical scene in which Ceres, veiled and draped, is seated to the left on a throne, holding corn-ears in her right hand and a long torch in her left, her head turned to face Annona who stands opposite. Annona, draped and standing to the right, rests her right hand on her hip while her left arm supports a large cornucopiae, embodying the abundance of the imperial grain supply. Between the two figures, a modius rests upon a garlanded altar at center; in the background to the right, the stern of a ship is depicted, alluding to Rome's maritime grain trade. The composition is framed by a beaded border, with the senatorial authorization mark S C prominently flanking the central scene in the lower field. The legend ANNONA AVGVSTI CERES is distributed across the upper periphery in crisp Latin capitals. |
