| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Nero facing right, depicted with characteristic youthful features and curly hair rendered in fine relief. The emperor wears a light aegis or drapery at the shoulder. The encircling legend reads NERO CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG GERM P M TR P IMP P P, distributed around the field in bold Roman capitals.
