Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Hadrian facing right, rendered in high relief in the characteristic Hadrianic style with carefully articulated hair and beard. The emperor's effigy presents a heroic, slightly idealized portrait with the paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The circumferential Latin legend reads IMP CAESAR TRAIANVS HADRIANVS AVG, distributed around the full periphery of the flan. The coin shows an irregular flan with a notable crack or flan flaw at the lower right quadrant, consistent with the irregular shape noted for this issue. The overall style reflects the refined portraiture of the early Hadrianic period at the Rome mint.
