| Popis rubu | The personification of Annona stands facing, her head turned slightly to the right, draped in a long chiton and himation. In her extended right hand she holds grain ears, while her lowered left hand grasps a cornucopia, symbolising the abundance of the imperial grain supply. At her feet to the left stands a modius, the standard grain measure. The letters S C (Senatus Consultum) are placed prominently in the field on either side of the figure, authorising the bronze coinage. The peripheral legend PONT MAX TR POT COS III encircles the upper field, with ANNONA AVG inscribed in the exergue. |
