Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair curling beneath the laurel wreath and a short beard characteristic of Hadrian's portraiture. The effigy displays the emperor's shoulder draped in a paludamentum, visible at the lower right of the bust. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait reflects the classicising Hellenistic style favoured during Hadrian's reign, with naturalistic facial modelling and expressive features.
