Reverse description A Roman warship (navis longa) sailing left, depicted in profile with a prominent bank of oars rendered in relief along the hull and a curved stern. At the prow, a figurehead — identified in numismatic literature as Minerva Promachus, a Triton, or Pegasus — is visible. The legend FELICITATI AVG is inscribed in the upper field in two lines, with COS III P P flanking the vessel, and S C split across the lower field, denoting senatorial authority. The composition evokes Hadrian's celebrated sea voyages and his propagandistic promotion of imperial felicitas, and is rendered in the bold, high-relief style characteristic of Rome Mint sestertii of the late 120s AD.
