Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Hadrian facing right, with the emperor's characteristic short beard rendered in fine detail, the drapery visible at the truncation. The effigy is portrayed in the Hadrianic style with naturalistic facial features and curled hair beneath the laurel wreath. The encircling legend is disposed around the periphery of the field in Latin capitals.
