| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Hadrian facing right, rendered with fine detail including the emperor's characteristic full beard and curling hair beneath the laurel wreath. The effigy presents Hadrian in a mature, authoritative portrait style distinctive of his later coinage, with paludamentum visible at the truncation. The circumferential legend reads HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS, distributed around the bust in well-spaced Latin capitals. A beaded border frames the design at the coin's periphery. |
