| Reverse description | The personification of Clementia stands facing left in the field, rendered as a draped female figure in long stola and palla. She extends her right hand forward holding a patera, while her left hand rests on a long vertical sceptre. The senatorial authority marks S and C are placed in the lower field to either side of the figure. The surrounding legend COS III P P CLEMENTIA AVG is distributed around the periphery within a beaded border, proclaiming Hadrian's third consulship, his title of Father of the Fatherland, and the personification of imperial clemency. |
