Reverse description The personification of Annona, goddess of the grain supply, stands facing right, holding a large cornucopia in both arms to emphasize imperial abundance and provisioning. At her feet to the right stands a modius (grain measure) filled with corn ears, the standard iconographic attribute symbolizing Rome's organized food distribution system. The legend ANNONA AVGVSTI is distributed in the field, with S C (Senatus Consultum) prominently placed to authorize the bronze issue. The composition is rendered in the classical Roman style typical of Hadrianic coinage, with a graceful, draped figure occupying the full reverse field.
