| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in fine relief with characteristic aged features including a prominent jaw and stern expression. The effigy displays a laurel wreath crown with detailed leaf work and ribbons visible at the nape of the neck. A light drapery falls over the left shoulder, consistent with imperial portrait convention of the Julio-Claudian transitional period. The surrounding legend in Latin runs clockwise from the lower left around the periphery of the flan. |

| Reverse description | A bold civic oak wreath (corona civica) frames the entire reverse field, rendered in detailed relief with individual leaves and berries clearly articulated. Within the wreath, the dedicatory legend is arranged in four lines across the central field: S P Q R / OB / CIVS ER, presented in large, well-spaced capital letters consistent with senatorial issue coinage. The wreath is tied at the base with a small bow or pellet. The overall composition is characteristic of Galba's celebrated civic coinage, referencing the honor bestowed upon the emperor as savior of the citizens. |
