Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in high relief with characteristic aged features and short-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath, whose ties fall on the shoulder. The paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder, visible at the bust truncation. The encircling legend reads IMP SER SVLPICIVS GALBA CAESAR AVG in bold Latin capitals, distributed around the periphery of the field.

Reverse description The personification of Roma seated left upon a cuirass, helmeted and draped, holding an upright spear in her raised right hand while her left arm rests upon a large round shield propped against the seat. A greave lies on the ground to the right of the figure, emphasizing the martial character of the type. The legend ROMA appears in the upper field and the senatorial authorization mark S C flanks the central figure in the lower field, attesting to the coin's official issue under senatorial decree.
