Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Galba facing right, the head adorned with an oak wreath (corona civica), with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the realistic Flavian tradition, conveying the aged features characteristic of Galba's known iconography. The encircling legend reads IMP SER GALBA CAE AVG TR P, disposed around the obverse field. The flan exhibits the irregular, broad fabric typical of Julio-Claudian and early Flavian sestertii struck by hammer technique.
