Obverse description Bare-headed, draped bust of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in high relief with realistic portraiture characteristic of the Flavian-era transition. The emperor is depicted with aged, heavily lined features, a strong jaw, and close-cropped hair. The bust is slightly truncated at the shoulder, showing drapery over the left shoulder. The encircling legend reads SER GALBA IMP CAES AVG TR P, distributed around the periphery of the flan within a fine beaded border.
