Obverse lettering IMP SER SVLP GALBA CAES AVG TR P
(Translation: Imperator Servius Sulpicius Galba Caesar Augustus Tribunicia Potestate. Supreme commander (Imperator) Servius Sulpicius Galba, Caesar, emperor (Augustus), holder of tribunician power.)
Reverse description The reverse displays the large senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consulto) prominently in the central field, rendered in bold capital letters of substantial size relative to the coin's flan. The monogram is enclosed within a circular exergual border, with the surrounding legend of Titus running along the outer periphery in two lines. The field is flat and largely unadorned, following standard Julio-Claudian and early Flavian sestertius convention for restored coinage. The legends attribute the restitution to Titus in his capacity as reigning emperor, dating the issue firmly to AD 80–81.
