Obverse description Bare head of Galba facing left, rendered with characteristic aged features including a prominent hooked nose and short neck, in the naturalistic portrait tradition of the Julio-Claudian and Flavian periods. The effigy occupies the central field, with the legend distributed around the periphery. The portrait conveys the emperor's advanced age and stern authority, consistent with known iconographic types for this ruler. The surrounding Latin legend reads SER GALBA IMP CAESAR AVG TR P, disposed clockwise around the bust.
