| Beschrijving keerzijde | A seated female figure, identified as Livia Augusta, is depicted enthroned facing left, holding a patera in her right hand and a long sceptre in her left. The figure is rendered in the classical style, seated upon an ornate chair or throne with visible decorative legs. The legend AVGVSTA appears in the lower field below the enthroned figure, flanked by the senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) divided on either side of the throne. A beaded border encircles the entire design. The reverse continues the Tiberian-era tradition of posthumously honoring Livia, here revived under Galba as a gesture of dynastic legitimacy. |
