Reverse description The large senatorial monogram S C (Senatus Consultum) dominates the central field in bold, deeply incised letters, authorizing this bronze issue struck by decree of the Senate. A continuous circular Latin legend surrounds the device, naming the honoree Drusus Caesar with his full titulature. The lettering is rendered in well-spaced Roman capitals following the standard epigraphic conventions of Tiberian-era bronze coinage. A dotted border runs along the outer edge of the flan.
