| Obverse lettering | NERO CLAVDIVS DRVSVS GERMANICVS IMP (Translation: Nero Claudius Caesar Drusus Germanicus Imperator. Nero Claudius Drusus, conqueror of the Germans, supreme commander (Imperator).) |
| Reverse description | The reverse field is dominated by the large senatorial mark of value S·C (Senatus Consulto), boldly struck in the center of the die, flanked by a separating dot. Above the S·C, the word REST (Restituit) is prominently inscribed in the upper field, indicating this is a restitution issue officially restoring an earlier Tiberian-era coinage. The surrounding circular legend, rendered in crisp capital letters, carries the full imperial titulature of Titus and runs continuously around the entire periphery. A beaded or toothed border frames the design. The composition is austere and formulaic, following established Flavian restitution sestertius convention. |
