Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in high relief with strong portraiture typical of Flavian-era die work. The emperor's neck is bare, with the laureate wreath tied at the rear with ribbon ends visible behind the head. The encircling legend runs clockwise around the obverse field, identifying the emperor by his full imperial titulature. The portrait displays the characteristic broad facial features and strong jaw associated with authentic Domitianic sestertii of the later reign period.
