| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail to the hair and paludamentum. The effigy displays the characteristic Flavian portrait style, with the emperor shown wearing a laurel wreath and military cloak fastened at the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan, separated from the bust by a dotted border. The portrait conveys imperial authority through its bold, slightly idealized modelling typical of late Flavian court workshops. |
