| Obverse description | Laureate head of Domitian facing right, with aegis at the truncation of the neck, rendered in bold high relief characteristic of Flavian imperial portraiture. The emperor's curly hair is depicted in the naturalistic style of the period, with the laurel wreath clearly defined around the crown. The encircling Latin legend runs along the outer border, separated from the effigy by a beaded inner border. A suspension hole is visible at the top of the flan, indicating later use as a pendant or mount. |
