Obverse description Laureate head of Domitian facing right, with finely rendered hair rendered in tight curls, the neck bare and the bust lightly draped at the shoulder. The effigy is executed in high relief in the Flavian tradition, with a strong, idealized profile. The encircling Latin legend reads CAES DIVI AVG VESP F DOMITIANVS COS VII, running clockwise from the lower left around the full circumference of the field.
