| Beschrijving keerzijde | The personification of Pax rendered as a standing draped female figure, facing left, in full-length robes. In her extended right hand she holds an olive branch, symbol of peace, while her left arm cradles a cornucopiae, the attribute of abundance and prosperity. The senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is prominently placed in the lower field to either side of the figure, flanking her feet. The reverse legend PAX AVGVST arcs across the upper field, completing the iconographic program linking imperial ideology with the goddess of peace. |
