| Reverse description | The personification of Pax stands in full figure facing left, rendered in the classical style with flowing robes. In her extended right hand she holds an olive branch, symbol of peace, while her left hand grasps a cornucopiae, emblematic of prosperity and abundance. The monogram SC (Senatus Consultum) is prominently displayed in the field to either side of the central figure, confirming the senatorial authority under which bronze coinage was issued. The peripheral legend PAX AVGVST encircles the type, proclaiming the Augustan peace of the Flavian dynasty. |
