| 裏面の説明 | Jupiter enthroned to left, his powerful figure rendered in the classical Olympian tradition. In his extended right hand he holds a small figure of Victory, while his left hand grasps a long vertical sceptre. The reverse field is divided by the senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consulto) placed prominently in the lower field to either side of the throne. The reverse legend IVPPITER CVSTOS frames the design along the upper periphery, affirming Jupiter's role as divine protector of the emperor and the Roman state. |
